A.k.a Sushi of Gari, this sushi shop is the staple of sushi adventures in my beloved UWS. What do you get when you mix the highest grade raw fish and creative sushi magic? My favorite sushi on the planet "salmon with roasted tomato". I've burnt the roof of my mouth so many times from eating that cool omega-3 fatty acid full salmon and rice with the searing hot soft, skin free roasted tomato. Seriously, it's orgasmic. If you're not into at least trying salmon (which means you're a freak of nature), they have the "Tuna Tuna Tuna" platter, with 8 different kinds of tuna sushi and sashimi. "But how!?" you ask? Well there is the lightly seared tuna with yuzu, tuna tartar with pine nuts on crispy seaweed sushi, tuna with jalapeño, toro (fatty tuna for all you rednecks) and others I can't remember because I've only ordered it once.
